Living this life

Like a line upon the water

 

A burst of energy

That creates a wake

Beautifully

 

A short appearance

That merges into infinity

Serenely

 

Living this life

Like a snowflake

 

Dancing and prancing

As it descends then merges on

Merrily

 

Uniquely shimmering

Resplendently glimmering

Joyfully

 

Living this life

Like a new leaf

 

With its graceful unfurling

Rejoicing with each new sun

Completely

 

Making a contribution

Dropping off, gradually floating down

Gently

 

Living this life

In all its glory

Embracing every moment

Utterly and entirely

In these tears

Streaming down

In the joy and the sorrow

The smile and the frown

 

In the raindrops

In the snowflakes

Seeding the waves

As the ocean itself awakes

 

In the smiling flowers

In the fluttering leaves

Dancing on a branch

Then back as mulch to the earth that receives

 

In the you that greets me

In the me that meets you

Intersecting, entwining

Then the seeming parting

 

In these meetings

Beyond the worlds

In the essence

Beyond these words

 

Doesn't it all continue

The eternal song

The eternal dance

The eternal Love

in its soft fragrance

 

the wilting

lilting

in its own melody

 

bidding adieu
